Terms of Sale
Effective: August 18, 2026
These Terms of Sale govern paid subscriptions on Mods Nation, operated by MISTY ISLANDS LTD CO. They form part of, and are subject to, the Mods Nation User Agreement. If there is a conflict between the two on a matter of payment, these Terms of Sale control.
1. What you are buying
A Mods Nation subscription grants you a monthly allowance of MODS. MODS are a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use paid features of the platform — currently photoreal render generation. MODS are not money, not a currency, not a stored-value or gift instrument, and not property. They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for cash, cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged, and exist only inside your Mods Nation account.
We may add other paid features that MODS can be applied to. We may change how many MODS a feature costs; the current cost is shown before you spend them.
2. Plans and price
Plans are shown at checkout with the monthly allowance and price for each. Render counts shown alongside a plan (for example "≈ 13 renders") are estimates based on the current cost of a standard render and are not a guaranteed quantity.
Prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude any applicable taxes, which are calculated at checkout.
3. Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically every month and you will be charged every month until you cancel. The charge is taken on the same day of each month as your original purchase, using the payment method on file. If that day does not exist in a given month, the charge is taken on the last day of that month. Upgrading your plan starts a new billing cycle and moves this date — see Section 6.
We will email you a confirmation when you subscribe, when your plan changes, and when you cancel. If we change the price of your plan, we will notify you in advance and the new price will apply from your next renewal; you may cancel before then.
4. Your monthly allowance expires
MODS from your monthly allowance expire at the end of the billing cycle in which they were granted. Unused MODS do not roll over, do not accumulate, and are not refunded. Each renewal grants a new allowance and does not restore expired MODS.
5. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from the Billing page in your account. Cancellation takes no more steps than subscribing did, and does not require contacting support.
When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the MODS in your current allowance remain available until then. At the end of that period your plan does not renew, any remaining MODS expire, and access to paid features ends.
Cancelling does not delete your account or your content.
6. Changing plans
You may upgrade or downgrade at any time from the Billing page.
Upgrades take effect immediately. The difference in monthly allowance is added to your balance right away. An upgrade also starts a new billing cycle on that day: you are charged for the new plan from then, with credit for the unused part of the plan you were on, and your monthly billing date moves to the day of the upgrade.
Downgrades take effect at your next renewal. Until then, your current plan, allowance, and billing date continue unchanged.
The MODS in your balance expire at the end of the billing cycle you are in. Because an upgrade starts a new cycle, it moves that expiry with it; a downgrade does not.
7. Refunds
Except where a refund is required by law, all charges are final and non-refundable. In particular, we do not refund:
- unused MODS at the end of a billing cycle or on cancellation;
- the remainder of a billing period after you cancel;
- MODS spent on a completed generation, since the service is delivered at the moment the render is produced.
Nothing in this section limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction, including any statutory right to cancel a distance purchase.
EU and UK consumers. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days. By subscribing, you request that we make paid features available to you immediately, and you consent to performance beginning right away. If you have not spent any MODS from the allowance granted by a charge, you may withdraw within 14 days of that charge by writing to support@modsnation.com, and we will refund it. Once you spend MODS from that allowance, performance has begun with your consent and, as you acknowledge at checkout, the right of withdrawal no longer applies to that charge.
Failed generations. If a render fails for reasons within our control, we return the MODS spent on it to your balance. Returned MODS expire with the allowance they came from. A render you are simply not happy with is not a failed render; generation results vary by nature and are not guaranteed to match your expectations.
8. Suspension and termination
If we suspend or terminate your account under the User Agreement, access to paid features ends, any remaining MODS expire, and no refund is due. If you delete your account, the same applies; cancel your subscription before deleting the account, or you may be charged for a renewal that begins before deletion completes.
9. Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card number. Your use of Stripe's checkout is subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file; if a charge fails, we may retry it and may suspend access to paid features until it succeeds.
10. Disputes and chargebacks
If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@modsnation.com before disputing the charge with your bank. We may suspend an account with an open chargeback until it is resolved.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these Terms of Sale. Changes to price or to what a subscription includes apply from your next renewal, and we will notify you before that renewal. Continued use of a paid feature after a change takes effect is acceptance of the changed terms.
