Community Guidelines

These Guidelines apply everywhere on Mods Nation — builds and photos, journals and articles, comments, chat and direct messages, marketplace listings, events, shop pages, decals, and renders. They are part of the Mods Nation User Agreement. Breaking them can cost you your content, your access to a feature, or your account.

We enforce these Guidelines at our discretion. We are not obliged to warn you first, to explain every decision in detail, or to treat two similar cases the same way.

1. Treat people decently

1.1 No harassment, threats, intimidation, or targeted pile-ons. 1.2 No hate speech, slurs, or attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation. 1.3 No sexual content involving minors, in any form, real or generated. No sexualized depiction of anyone who appears to be a minor. 1.4 No content that encourages self-harm, or that celebrates violence against a person or group. 1.5 No posting private information about another person — home address, phone number, workplace, identity documents, or anything that pinpoints where they live. This is about other people: your own vehicle, licence plate included, is yours to show.

Violations of 1.2 and 1.3 result in immediate permanent termination, without warning and without appeal in the case of 1.3.

2. Be who you say you are

2.1 One person, one account. Do not create additional accounts to evade a suspension, inflate ratings, or manipulate votes. 2.2 Do not impersonate another person, a business, a manufacturer, a shop, or Mods Nation staff. 2.3 Do not present yourself as an authorized representative of a brand you do not represent. 2.4 Do not use a display name, avatar, or profile designed to be mistaken for someone else.

3. Post content you have the right to post

3.1 Upload only photographs, images, text, logos, decals, and 3D models that you created or are licensed to use. 3.2 Do not upload a photo of someone else's car and present it as your own build. 3.3 Do not upload logos or brand artwork you have no right to use, including as decals. 3.4 Do not copy another user's journal, article, or listing text.

If you post content you do not have the right to post, you are responsible for the consequences, and we may remove it under our DMCA policy or on our own initiative.

4. Keep it real about cars

4.1 Do not misrepresent parts, fitment, or specifications. 4.2 Do not present modified or generated images as photographs of a real vehicle when it matters — in a listing, a sale, or a claim about a build. 4.3 Do not give advice you know to be unsafe, and do not present a modification's legality as settled when it is not. 4.4 Do not fabricate a build's history, mileage, damage record, or provenance.

5. Selling and trading

Marketplace listings connect buyers and sellers. Mods Nation is not a party to any transaction, does not hold funds, and does not verify what is offered.

5.1 List only what you actually have and are entitled to sell. 5.2 Describe condition, damage, and known faults honestly. Do not misstate mileage or conceal title status. 5.3 No stolen goods, no counterfeit parts, no parts sold as genuine when they are not. 5.4 No listings for anything whose sale is restricted or illegal where you or the buyer are located, including emissions-defeat devices where prohibited. 5.5 Do not use listings, events, or shop pages as a channel for unrelated advertising. 5.6 Do not take a conversation off-platform in order to evade these Guidelines.

6. Don't game the platform

6.1 No vote manipulation in ratings, polls, or duels — no alt accounts, no coordinated voting, no incentives for votes. 6.2 No artificial inflation of views, likes, saves, or listening counts. 6.3 No spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, or automated posting. 6.4 No scraping, crawling, or bulk extraction of catalog data, models, listings, or member information. 6.5 Do not attempt to bypass moderation filters, rate limits, paid feature limits, or a suspension.

7. Chat and messages

7.1 The Guidelines apply in direct messages exactly as they do in public channels. 7.2 Do not send unsolicited commercial messages to members. 7.3 Do not share another member's private messages publicly in order to harass them. 7.4 Automated filtering may block a message before it is published. Repeatedly triggering the filter is itself a violation.

8. AI renders

8.1 You are responsible for every image you supply as an input to a render. Do not upload photographs, artwork, or logos you have no right to use, and do not upload images of other people without their agreement. 8.2 Do not use renders to fabricate evidence of a vehicle's condition, damage, or existence, in a listing or anywhere else. 8.3 Do not remove or obscure any marking that identifies an image as generated. 8.4 Renders are produced from our catalog models and remain subject to the User Agreement.

9. Reporting

You can report a message directly in chat. To report anything else — a build, photo, journal entry, article, listing, event, or profile — write to support@modsnation.com. Reports are reviewed by us; we do not disclose the identity of the person who reported.

Reporting content you simply disagree with, or filing reports in volume to harass another member, is itself a violation of these Guidelines.

Copyright complaints go through our DMCA policy, not through a report.

10. What happens when you break these Guidelines

Depending on the severity, the history of the account, and our judgment, we may:

We may take any of these steps without prior warning. You can ask us to review the decision by writing to support@modsnation.com; we review in good faith, and our decision on review is final.

Nothing in this section limits our rights under the User Agreement, including our right to terminate an account at any time.
