Some changes to the exhaust this week. Christian Koegler, aka @Maisteer, inspired me through his hypothesis of exhaust as a musical instrument. How the width of each pipe and the length of the individual runners in the headers shape the sound at low and high RPM.
Air-cooled flat-four has a lower RPM limit than a superbike but I wanted to do what I could. Cut, welded, tested. Cut again, welded again.
She sounds different now. A bit deeper, fuller, less of a lawnmower and more of something with weight behind it. Here's the result:
