How the mark works

Earned on site, checked against real work, and taken back when the work stops matching it.

RATED BY MODS
For business owners
Shops, installers, retailers
The 12-point on-site verification: licensing, insurance, equipment, process, and completed work inspected on real cars. Pass it, wear the mark.
For manufacturers
Parts & hardware
Accredited lab testing, a 48-point engineering review, and instrumented road validation on documented builds. The outcome: Certified by Mods, or a corrective findings report.
Independent. Revocable. Never for sale.
What is paid for
The visit
A business books and pays for the inspection. That buys the inspector's time and nothing else. The result of the inspection is not for sale at any price, and no partnership, spend or placement changes it.
What happens after
It can be taken back
The mark carries a date and expires. It is withdrawn early when the work stops meeting the bar it was granted against, and the page loses it the same day.
Naming
Two marks, never mixed
Rated by Mods is for businesses. Certified by Mods is for parts and hardware. A shop is never certified and a part is never rated.

The full 12-point and 48-point lists are published here shortly.
